Sonali Yutia Fitaloka (2022). The Effect of Using Picture Media in Students’ 
Vocabulary Mastery At the Eighth Grade Students of MTS Masyariqul Anwar 
Caringin in Academic Year 2022/ 2023
This research paper aims to investigate the effect of using picture media on 
students’ vocabulary mastery. The research paper employs the quantitative 
research design, this research consists of two classes namely experimental and 
control class. The population of this research is all Eighth Grade Students of MTs 
Masyariqul Anwar, which is consist 9 students, and then the sample of this 
research only two classes namely VIII E and VIII F which is consist 60 students. 
Each of the two classes consist of 30 students, VIII E class as a Experimental and 
VIII F class as a Control. Based on result of the data in this research was treatment 
using picture in experimental class and control class using wall charts. The 
researcher found that using picture media can improve students’ vocabulary 
mastery, it was saw after the research carried out treatment. The mean score of 
experimental class the minimum and maximum score pretest was 40 and 66 and 
posttest minimum and maximum score was 50 and 90 Then score of control class 
the minimum and maximum score pretest was 40 and 63 and posttest minimum 
and maximum score was 50 and 70. The data analyzed using by SPSS 22 version 
for program windows. Based on the data analysis it can concluded that teaching 
students’ vocabulary mastery use picture is significant.
