ENUR FAJRIYAH (2025). “The Effect of Webtoon Application Towards Students’ Reading Comprehension In Narrative Text An Experimental Research at the Eleventh Grade students of SMKN 1 Malingping Lebak Banten in the Academic Year 2025/2026 .”
The aim of this research is the significant effect of Webtoon application towards students reading comprehension in narrative text. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with pre-tests and post-tests. The study's population included 319 students, while the sample comprised 60 students, divided into an experimental group of 30 and a control group of 30. The research instrument used was a multiple-choice test, which was found to be normally distributed and reliable. Data were collected from the pre-test and post-test scores and analyzed using the SPSS 30 statistical program, which included calculations of mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The analysis and interpretation of the data revealed a significant effect of the Webtoon application on students' reading comprehension of narrative text An Experimental Research at the Eleventh Grade students of SMKN 1 Malingping Lebak Banten in the Academic Year 2025/2026. The t-test results yielded a significance value of 0.007, which is less than the alpha level of 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Webtoon application has a significant effect on students' reading comprehension of narrative texts.
