This research aimed to investigate whether the Effect of the Cake application could significantly improve students’ listening skills at the eleventh grade of SMAN 10 Pandeglang. The research employed a quantitative approach, involving two groups: the experimental class (XI-3) taught using the Cake application and the control class (XI-2) taught using the Elsa application. A total of 70 students participated, with 35 students in each class. The instrument used was a listening skill test consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions, administered as pre-test and post-test. Data were collected through tests and analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 25. The findings revealed that both the experimental and control groups’ data were normally distributed and homogeneous, meeting the requirements for parametric testing. The independent sample t-test showed a t-value of 11.866 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the post-test results of the two groups. The mean score of the experimental group increased from 58.03 in the pre-test to 84.54 in the post-test, while the control group improved slightly from 57.69 to 66.43. These results demonstrate that the Effect of the Cake application had a substantial positive impact on students’ listening skills compared to the traditional method. It can be concluded that integrating the Cake application into English lessons effectively enhances students’ listening skill, vocabulary recognition, and motivation to learn. This research supports the use of mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) tools as innovative strategies to improve English learning outcomes.
