Yunita Rizqiah (2025), The Influence of YouTube Videos On Students` Listening Skills at the Eleventh Grade of MAN 3 Pandeglang In Academic Year 2025/2026
This research aims to investigate the influence of using YouTube videos on students’ listening skills. The study was conducted at MAN 3 Pandeglang with two groups of eleventh-grade students: the experimental class, which was taught using YouTube videos as learning media, and the control class, which was taught through TikTok videos. A quantitative research design with pre-test and post-test was applied, and the collected data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-tests. The findings revealed that the experimental class showed a significant improvement in listening comprehension compared to the control class. The post-test scores of the experimental group ranged from 48 to 90, while those of the control group ranged from 44 to 77. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference between the two groups, indicating that YouTube-based learning had a positive impact on students’ listening skills.The study concludes that integrating YouTube into English language teaching can enhance students’ motivation and improve their listening comprehension. However, the research was limited by the sample size, duration, and the exclusive use of one YouTube channel. Future studies are recommended to include a larger sample, longer implementation, and varied digital resources.
