Nana Supriyatna. 2025. Skripsi. Analisis Nilai Moral dan Nilai Sosial Pada Novel Sebelas Karya Tere Liye Serta Pemanfaatannya Sebagai Bahan Pembelajaraan Apresiasi sastra di SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai moral dan nilai sosial dalam novel Sebelas karya Tere Liye serta menganalisis pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan pembelajaran apresiasi sastra di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Permasalahan penelitian difokuskan pada: (1) nilai moral yang terkandung dalam novel Sebelas, (2) nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut, dan (3) bagaimana pemanfaatan kedua nilai tersebut dalam pembelajaran sastra di SMK. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Data diperoleh melalui pembacaan mendalam terhadap novel, pencatatan kutipan yang relevan, dan klasifikasi berdasarkan teori nilai moral Suseno (2017) serta teori nilai sosial Rohman (2016). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Sebelas memuat beragam nilai moral seperti tanggung jawab, kejujuran, keberanian moral, kemandirian, kerendahan hati, sikap kritis, dan menjadi diri sendiri. Selain itu, terdapat pula nilai sosial berupa cinta kasih, empati, kepedulian, kerja sama, tanggung jawab sosial, serta tolong-menolong. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa novel Sebelas layak dijadikan bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran apresiasi sastra di SMK. Hal ini karena isi novel relevan dengan kehidupan remaja, mudah dipahami, serta mampu menanamkan nilai moral dan sosial yang penting bagi pembentukan karakter siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pengembangan kajian sastra sekaligus kontribusi praktis dalam penyediaan bahan ajar yang bermakna bagi dunia pendidikan. ABSTRACT
Nana Supriyatna. 2025. Thesis. An Analysis of Moral and Social Values in Tere Liye’s Novel Sebelas and Their Use as Teaching Material for Literary Appreciation in Vocational High Schools. This study aims to describe the moral and social values in Tere Liye’s novel Sebelas and to analyze their use as teaching material for literary appreciation in vocational high schools (SMK). The research focuses on: (1) the moral values contained in the novel Sebelas, (2) the social values presented in the story, and (3) the implementation of these values in literature learning at SMK. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques. Data were collected through intensive reading of the novel, recording of relevant quotations, and classification based on Suseno’s (2017) theory of moral values and Rohman’s (2016) theory of social values. The results reveal that Sebelas contains various moral values, including responsibility, honesty, moral courage, independence, humility, critical thinking, and self-identity. In addition, it also presents social values such as love, empathy, concern for others, cooperation, social responsibility, and mutual assistance. Based on these findings, Sebelas is considered appropriate as teaching material for literary appreciation in vocational high schools. Its content is relevant to the lives of adolescents, easy to understand, and capable of instilling moral and social values that are essential for character building. Therefore, this study is expected to provide a theoretical contribution to literary studies as well as a practical contribution to the development of meaningful teaching materials in education.
